[美國法專欄]大法官：「我們沒有絕望的本錢」
美國大法官Sotomayor本週在一場活動中，被詢問是否對川普當選感到憂慮，Sotomayor表示她必須用另一個方式來回答這個問題。
Sotomayor說「每一個良善的人都有義務繼續發聲，並繼續做對的事，我們無法承擔總統失敗，我們必須幫助總統導引他做正確的事，我們沒有絕望的本錢，也不可以放棄我們以往努力爭取到的價值，對我來說，我會繼續做我認為對的事情，這將是我接下來面臨的挑戰」

“We can’t afford for a president to fail,” Sotomayor continued. “We have to support that which he does which is right and help guide him to those right decisions.
“But we can’t afford to despair, and we can’t afford to give up our pursuing of values that we and others have fought so hard to achieve. And so for me, this is a challenge. So I’m going to continue doing what I think is the right thing. That’s the challenge we all have to face.”
